Photographing AirBnB Listings and Holiday Lettings

Property photography for AirBnB Listings, Vrbo Holiday Rentals and Guesthouses differs greatly from Estate Agents photography.  While Estate Agent photos are intended to get people in to the property to view, Holiday Rental photos need to get people to commit purely on the strength of the pictures.  First impressions are absolutely vital when marketing your short term rental property - poor photography will not show how warm, welcoming and comfortable your property is, and if a property doesn't feel warm, welcoming and comfortable - potential renters will move to the next listing that does.​

Potential renters often have a list of requirements and questions such as what facilities are on offer, whether there is a work space or whether there are any access issues, so these need to be clearly shown on the photos.  To help answer these questions, when photographing an AirBnB or Guesthouse I take a few angles of each room to show the access around the room and into the hallway or landing.

A Statista survey found that 62% of travellers aged 18 to 29 consider online images of rooms very important when choosing accommodation for leisure trips. This isn’t just a trend among younger guests—across all age groups, strong visuals play a major role in booking decisions. 

Close up "lifestyle" shots of decorative lamps, pictures, fireplaces and TVs help create a nice comfortable feel for the property, and any facilities offered such as tea and coffee, kettles, microwaves, welcoming bottles of wine or food packages will be photographed.
